CDC Gaming got a hands-on demonstration of eConnect's new ACE platform with the company's Chief Technology Officer Travis Whidden, and the pitch is deliberately narrow: artificial intelligence for casino operations that never sends sensitive information off the operator's own systems.

Asking questions in plain language

ACE is built around conversational AI. Casino managers can explore player activity and operational performance using everyday language instead of waiting on report tickets, ask follow-up questions, and work through customizable dashboards. The system combines facial recognition, player data and other casino systems so that a single question can draw on several sources at once.

The private part

eConnect's emphasis is that the analysis happens on site: sensitive information stays inside the operator's infrastructure while the model does the work. That framing addresses the objection that has slowed AI adoption in gaming, namely regulator and patron discomfort with player data leaving licensed premises, and it is why the demonstration leads with privacy rather than accuracy claims.

Where it sits

The demonstration was part of CDC Gaming's G2E coverage, where AI booths have multiplied quickly in the past two years. A working on-premises assistant that produces verifiable results is a more modest promise than autonomous decision-making, and arguably an easier one for compliance teams to sign off on.

Industry Context and Analysis

Industry analysis of the platform: casino-technology reporting places private, on-premise AI among the fastest-adopted vendor categories, and market research indicates operators increasingly insist that player-behaviour data never leave their own infrastructure.
